Privacy Policy
Effective: August 23, 2026
This policy explains how Dan Grin Photography ("we", "us") handles your personal information on book.dangrin.photography. The short version: we collect only what you send us through the booking form or by email, we use it only to arrange your portrait session, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you use the booking form, we collect the information you enter:
- Your name and email address, and the session you are interested in;
- Optionally: your profession, links to your profiles (Instagram, LinkedIn, website), preferred dates, and any comments or references you add.
Please note: the booking form has two steps. When you press "Next" after the first step, the details from that step (your name, email and chosen session) are already transmitted to us, even if you do not finish the second step. We do this so we can follow up if something interrupts you mid-form.
If you contact us by email or Instagram, we receive whatever you choose to send in that message.
This site does not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels or cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operations.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request and discuss your session;
- To plan, schedule and deliver the photo session you book;
- To follow up on an unfinished or unanswered request.
We do not send marketing newsletters, and we do not use your information for advertising.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are delivered to our studio inbox and logged in a private spreadsheet, both hosted with Google (Gmail, Google Sheets / Google Apps Script). Access is limited to Dan Grin and the studio. Google processes this data as our service provider under its own security terms.
Sharing
We never sell or rent your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers that make this site work (hosting, Google as described above), or if the law requires us to disclose it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any session that follows from it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to andaction@thegrin.studio and we will take care of it. California residents may exercise the same rights of access and deletion under California law; we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Photographs
Portraits shown on this site are published with the permission of the people photographed. Whether and how your own portraits may be shown is agreed with you separately before or after your session — never automatically.
Children
This site and our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
